Description

Arimidex Anastrozole Pharmacy Oral Tablets consist of 1 mg Anastrozole (a nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitor). It is an anti-cancer drug used for the initial treatment of breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Most breast cancers depend on estrogen hormone for their growth. After menopause, the production of estrogen in the ovaries stops, but it continues in the adipose tissue of the body. In general, this occurs when the aromatase enzyme converts other enzymes into estrogen. This type of breast cancer is often called estrogen-positive breast cancer.
Anastrozole is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by blocking an aromatase enzyme responsible for producing estrogen in the body. Ultimately, this will lead to the reduction of tumor size or slowing of tumor development in some women.

Weightlifters are also targeted by the use of Arimidex for bodybuilding to reduce the effects of androgenic anabolic steroids that often interact with estrogen, leading to gynecomastia, otherwise known as breast hypertrophy in humans.

When is it used?
In general, this drug is used after surgery and other treatments to help reduce the risk of early breast cancer return. It is also used to control breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, also called secondary breast cancer.

The dosage of Arimidex
Anastrozole (Arimidex) is taken as a tablet once a day at the same time each day, morning and evening. However, there are certain conditions that must be met during the treatment period:
• If you forget to take the tablet, take it as soon as you remember unless you take the second dose. Remember that you should never take a double dose.
• Keep the tablets in a safe place out of the reach of children.
• Store tablets at room temperature, away from direct light and heat.

• Pain or joint stiffness
• Headache, sore throat, backache and bone pain
• Mood changes, depression and sleep disturbances, also called insomnia

• Nausea, vomiting
