Boldenone Undecylenate is classified as an anabolic steroid with less androgenic activity than its testosterone analogue. It is a highly anabolic, moderately androgenic steroid. It has a very favorable effect on the nitrogen balance of the organism, so the main effect consists in a markedly increased protein synthesis in the muscle cell.

Boldenone was actually created when trying to make a long acting injectable metandienone (D-bol) product. What was actually created was a product which, in the real world does not act like D-bol, despite its chemical similarity. A simple way to think of Boldenone, chemically at least, is simply like methandienone without the 17-alpha-methyl group (this is the thing that makes methandienone capable of being ingested orally and not being destroyed by your liver). However, after having had first-hand experience with both Boldenone as well as D-bol, we can tell you that the results for each are very different.

To make Boldenone, a double bond was added between the carbon atoms 1 and 2 of Steran Nucleus oftestosterone. What does it mean? Well, first of all, since Boldenone was created by a simple modification of the testosterone molecule, you can rightly suspect that it shares many similarities with it. Boldenone is just as anabolic as testosterone (as you can tell by its anabolic rating above), but only half as androgenic. These assessments can be quite misleading however, as I do not know of anyone who would claim that you can gain as much weight on Boldenone as you can gain on an equal amount of testosterone (even though the strength gains of the two compounds are very similar).

It is not very common to compare Boldenone with testosterone. However, a much more common comparison is between Boldenone and nandrolone. I suspect this is because Dan Duchaine introduced this compound to the steroid using the community, he made an immediate comparison to nandrolone, speculating that it would act the same as nandrolone, but as a much more strong of it. Boldenone does not really act like nandrolone; Nandrolone is actually a progestin and a 19-nor derivative steroid whereas Boldenone is more closely related to testosterone (being just a different double rent bond). Duchaine then canceled his initial statement about Boldenone and said he was disappointing as a mass builder when compared to nandrolone, but a much better steroid than for strength and vascularity gains. Unfortunately, the myth that the Boldenone action is similar to nandrolone persisted for almost 2 decades after revising its opinion; This is most evident on message boards today, where many people would advise against including the two in a cycle because “they act the same way.” Well, now You know the truth.

The 1-2 double bond, Boldenone is responsible for many of its characteristics. First, it works to slow down aromatization (conversion to estrogen).
